The Tishman Construction Management Program (TCMP) offers the 26 credit online Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree program in Construction Engineering and Management (CEM). The program can be completed as a full-time student in as little as 8 months (Fall and Winter semesters), or can be extended over up to 5 years as a part-time student. The program is for students who generally intend to pursue a professional career in the construction industry or are already working in construction or related industry sectors.

The admission standards, advising, contact hours, coursework, faculty, program requirements, and student engagement are the same as the on-campus MEng in CEM program. Students who complete the degree online earn the same diploma and receive the same transcript as those who have completed the on-campus MEng in CEM since its inception in 1994. Neither the diploma nor the transcript indicate the modality of degree completion.

The program comprises of coursework only and does not require a thesis or other major research project. The online Certificate in CEM program is stackable with the online M.Eng. program and offers 6 credits of acceleration into the graduate degree program. The program has strong ties with the construction industry and through the UM Construction Industry Alliance Program (UMCIAP), offers significant opportunity for students to network with professionals.

The information below describes the online M.Eng. program curriculum and instructions on how to apply.  Interested applicants should read all of this information first. Prospective students are also encouraged to read the Guidelines for Applicants and Prospective Students. Additional information is also available in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section.
